I work with founders, owners and CEOs of established B2B businesses when the way the company has been run so far is no longer enough for what comes next. I help them see what is actually constraining that transition, make the critical decisions and get the change moving.
Based in Mumbai. Working remotely across markets.
The business has customers, a team and a track record. But the next stage needs a different way of operating. It tends to show up in one of these ways.
More effort and more complexity, with slower progress. Referrals no longer bring enough.
Senior people are in place, but ownership has not moved. Important calls still return to the founder or CEO.
A leadership team is forming, the founder wants a more strategic role, or a second generation is stepping in.
A new geography, international expansion, or a commercial system that now has to be deliberate.
Professionalisation, restructuring, or AI and digital change reaching the operating model.
The last fix did not hold, because the visible problem was not the real constraint.
Underneath most of these is one move: from entrepreneurial growth to executive scale.
A company tends to become an expression of its principal: their ambition, standards, instincts, decisions and limits. So I look at the human, commercial and operating parts of the business together, never one in isolation.
Founder, leadership, ownership and culture.
Customers, the commercial model and the economics.
Organisation, decisions, systems and execution.
One engagement in three stages, working close to the business from first diagnosis until the change is moving.
The principal and the business. Its economics, market, customers and commercial system. Its people, leadership, ownership, decisions and operating model, and the transition underway.
The real constraint. What must change, what should remain and in what sequence. The decisions required, the ownership shifts and the capabilities still missing.
I stay involved while decisions are made, ownership shifts, priorities activate, commercial work progresses, leadership aligns and friction is corrected.
I personally own the diagnosis, judgement, pattern recognition and framing. The strategic decisions and their sequencing. The principal-level work, the intervention architecture and its orchestration. Accountability and review.
Where specialist implementation is needed, it is scoped separately and carried out by trusted experts I coordinate.
A services-business founder had a live international opportunity, with open questions on pricing and structure. Decisions on delivery still came back to him.
The pricing and structure of the deal, and which authority could move to a member of his team.
He later reported that the deal was confirmed and credited our discussion with helping him get there. He also put the new authority in place and introduced a team-lead reporting layer.
This is client-reported progress. He still stepped in when delivery quality or deadlines were at risk.
Over 15 years I have worked across marketing, business development, strategy, operations and my own ventures. I am Founding Partner at Humanimate Consulting LLP and a Startup Mentor with the Symbiosis Centre for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
I am also a musician and drummer. Music taught me that a group of capable individuals can still fail to sound like a band. Timing, listening, knowing when to lead and when not to play: I see the same dynamics in leadership teams.
I bring several roles to the work: the operator who has built and run things, the integrator who connects the parts, the witness who sees what is actually happening, and the teacher who leaves the team more capable.

Is this relevant to my business? If you lead an established B2B business with customers, a team and a track record, and the next stage needs a different way of operating, it is worth a conversation.
What happens in the first conversation? Thirty minutes on Zoom. We discuss what is changing, why it matters now and whether I am the right person to help.
How does the 90-day partnership work? Understand, Architect, Move. Scope, working rhythm and fees are agreed in writing before we begin.
What do you personally own? The diagnosis, judgement, sequencing and principal-level work. I am accountable for the thinking and for keeping the change moving.
Who carries out specialist implementation? Your team, and trusted specialists I coordinate under a separately agreed scope.
How does remote working function? Scheduled live sessions, written analysis and asynchronous review, with time on site when the situation warrants it.
Is the work confidential? Yes. Client names and examples are shared only with permission.
What is Humanimate Consulting LLP? My consulting firm. It handles contracting and billing. You work directly with me.
